Jim Liu was born on August 9th, 1995. Until next month, he would be 15 years old. He was seven months younger than Tiger Woods when he won the first American Junior Championship in 1991. Tiger Woods once got the three-time titles of American Junior Golf Championship. When he won for the first time, he was 15 years 6 months 28 days old.

 

Jim Liu succeeded in protecting Par at the 16th hole in Egypt Valley Country Club and finished the game. He got the victory. In fact, his adversary helped him a lot. 17-year-old Justin Thomas will study in University of Alabama  in the fall of 2011. In addition, he swallowed 6 bogeys at the last 11 holes including the final three holes. Of course, Jim Liu also performed very well. U.S. Youth Championship set 36 holes. Jim Liu hit 64 with 8 under par in the 18 holes of morning. In contrast, Justin Thomas played 67 with 5 under par. When the half competition was over, Justin Thomas had fell 3 shots behind leader.

 

 Anyway, two players will be accepted by 2010 U.S. Amateur Championship which will be held in Chamers Bay from August 23 to 29 for they both entered into the finals. "Ranking with the champions was a very great honor."  Jim Liu said,"breaking Tiger's record was better. I never image I can do it. However, this year, I luckily got it".  Jim Liu liked Tiger Woods very much. As a matter of fact, his coach John Anselmo ever guided Tiger Woods at the young age.

 

Jim Liu performed very normally in two rounds of stroke play and calmly cut, while he played wonderful in match play. Only two rounds, he hit to the final 18th hole. "The first two rounds of stroke play, either I hit the ball well or my putts were very awesome. But I didn't do both in one."
